Now that the end of the winter is getting closer, the Malta Vipers are in the final stages of the winter training for the 2010 airshow season.  The events schedule for this season is now available in the 'Events' page. Also a new promotion video for the Malta Vipers has been made, this can be watched from the 'Videos' page on our website.

17th December 2009

Now that the YS 2009 airshow season is over, the Malta Vipers are now back to the virtual skies of Malta to practice for the upcoming airshow season. More info about the YS 2010 airshow season will be posted here and the events page, on early January 2010.

Next Saturday 11th April 2009, the team will be celebrating the 1st aniversary of the team. For celebrating this great day, we will host a small airshow at the Malta International Airport. More information about this event can be found at the 'Events' page

It is now official that the C-130J will be grounded on the 14th July 2009. We came to this conclusion because we returned to a 2-Ship formation again. The C-130J is scheduled to make a 2 last demonstrations this year, at Offutt AFB and RAF Fairford. After the YS RIAT, we will not return the C-130J for flying demonstrations at air shows, but we will probably use it for static displays during our demo.

On the other side, we are now practicing 6 times per week for the upcoming air show season. The brand new F-16As are scheduled for delivery to the team by the end of March, they will contain; numbers on the tails, AFM markings and probably a change in the scheme. If they will be delivered before the Offutt AFB air show, we will prepare something special for all of you.

The YS AFM Vipers returned to the skies of Malta today, for the first practice with the new routine for the 2009 airshow season. The YS AFM Vipers has also confirmed to perform at the YS Offut Airshow at Offut AFB, US. We recomend you to not miss this airshow, it will feature the returning of the YS Red Arrows and the YS Blue Angels and much much more. New website now available!

After a long break on flight training, the YS AFM Vipers will be back in the air for practicies next 23rd February.
